Officials ID man stabbed to death in Twin Cities, release lone suspect without charges

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that “law enforcement is not looking for additional suspects.”

Officials on Tuesday released the identity of a man who was stabbed to death over the weekend in Columbia Heights.

Sean Joey Symouksavanh, 34, of Columbia Heights was attacked shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday and died at the scene in the 3800 block of Edgemoor Place NE., the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said.

A 31-year-old woman, also from Columbia Heights, was arrested Saturday and released without charges being filed as the investigation continues.

The Sheriff’s Office noted in a statement Tuesday that “law enforcement is not looking for additional suspects.”

Responders from several agencies went to the scene and found found a man with a stab wound. They attempted to revive him before declaring him dead at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.
